Appeals and Complaints

Policy and Procedure for Complaints and Appeals

Authors have the right to lodge complaints or appeals concerning various aspects, including:

  • Decisions made by the editorial team
  • Issues with the review or publication process
  • Excessive delays in manuscript processing
  • Matters related to publication ethics
  • Concerns about journal policies

Initially, any grievances should be directed to the editor-in-chief or the managing editor for resolution. Should these individuals be unreachable, authors are encouraged to reach out to the publishing team directly at editorchilena@gmail.com. The editor-in-chief or a designated publishing representative will investigate the complaint and respond accordingly. Issues concerning publication ethics will be addressed in accordance with the standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics, despite JICC or its in-house team not being members of this committee.
