Authorship change policy and Correction Form
Authors have the ability to request alterations to authorship or to withdraw an author's name both before and after an article's publication. The editor-in-chief will consult with their publishing counterpart to determine the necessary course of action. We will follow the COPE guidelines to address such complaints and requests, including:
- Addition of extra author before publication
- Removal of author before publication
- Addition of extra author after publication
- Removal of author after publication
- Suspected guest, ghost or gift authorship
- How to spot authorship problems
Corrections
Corrections serve to address significant scientific errors or omissions in a published article that affect the article's scientific integrity. Corrections are issued for impactful changes post-publication, such as rectifying misleading sections in an otherwise valid publication, correcting figure errors, rectifying data inaccuracies that do not alter the conclusions, or adding omitted methodological details.
Authors are required to fill out a Correction Submission Form and submit it to the editorial team for processing.
Authorship Modifications
To add or remove authors, or to update the statement of authors' contributions, authors must complete an Authorship Change and Agreement form.
Changing the Corresponding Author
Requests to change the designated corresponding author must be made using the Corresponding Author Change Request Form, which should then be forwarded to the editorial office for action.
